Counting Comet is the 9th episode of the second season of Team Umizoomi, and the 28th episode overall.
Episode Description[]
While looking through a telescope, the team discovers a family of comets flying through space! The littlest member of the family is named Counting Comet. He gets his power from counting! [1]
Summary[]
While hanging out with their friend Melissa, the team sees that a little comet falls out of space and crash lands into Umi City. His name is Counting Comet because he can fly really high when he counts high. Now they must help by going through the space station to get to the big rocket, so he can go back to his home for reuniting his family.
Synopsis[]
Intro: Visiting Melissa[]
The team is at their friend Melissa's bedroom looking at things in outer space with her telescope. They see a big yellow star house, where a family of colorful comets live, including the youngest member, Counting Comet, who is just a baby. He then sings about himself as he plays around with the stars in the sky.
Crash Landing[]
Counting Comet is called back home, but accidentally crashes into a satellite, which drops him all the way down to the middle of Earth, triggering Bot's Umi-Alarm. Luckily, he landed somewhere in Umi City, so Team Umizoomi decides to take action right away.
Team Umizoomi, Ready for Action![]
Melissa throws Team Umizoomi out her window using her toy airplane so they can find Counting Comet really fast. Counting Comet tries counting his way back up, but can't really count that high to get back home. The team then decides to try and take him home using the rocket at a local rocket station, based on information from Bot's robot computer. The adventure then begins as the team sings "We Are Team Umizoomi" along the way.
Secret Security Codes[]
DoorMouse guards the three security gates to enter the rocket station, but the team tries to get the gates to open using a secret code using buttons with 2-digit numbers. With a little help from Umi-Friend, Bot tries to find the correct numbers to open the gates and get cleared into the next part of the rocket station, the training room.
The Window[]
When Team Umizoomi gets to the building, they find a big open window to go through to enter. The team gets a lift by using their bouncy shoes, but Counting Comet has to count his way up there, and Bot finds out that he had to count to eleven (11) to get that high. With a little help from Umi-Friend, he counts to that number and makes it in successfully. Then, they go through the professionals' office where they see a screen with footage of where Counting Comet's family is.
Training Room[]
To get all the way through the training room, Milli used her Pattern Power to do a pattern of moves to get past props of different obstacles, which included rolling through craters, jumping over space volcanoes, and running past falling meteors, all in that order. At the other side of the training room, Milli turns off the machines so Geo, Bot, and Counting Comet can go through the room freely. The team is then led to a hallway that will take them to the rocket.
The Big Glass[]
Counting Comet accidentally got picked up by a claw in the hallway, and lands in a tall glass tube. Therefore, Bot uses his robot computer to tell Counting Comet that he can get out of there by counting all the way up to the number fifteen (15). It might seem a little harder to do, but he counts his way to the top, and finally escapes from the glass. After which, there was an announcement on the loudspeakers that the rocket will be blasting off really soon.
The Rocket Tunnels[]
As the team goes through the rocket tunnel, they notice three darker tunnels of different shapes along the way, but does not know which one takes them to the rocket. However, Bot's robot computer tells him that the right tunnel is the one whose shape has seven (7) sides on it. Geo helps with that using his Super Shape Power. He shows the rest of the team a heptagon, which has 7 sides. Then, they try to find the tunnel with the matching shape. They see a rectangle tunnel on the left, a pentagon tunnel in the middle, and a heptagon tunnel on the right. Then, they go through the heptagon tunnel to get to the rocket.
The Final Stretch[]
Counting Comet finally makes it to the rocket, but the door closes, and now he cannot get in, unless he counts really high to get to the little open window near the top. Bot helps him by finding the number he has to count to, and his robot computer tells him that the number is going to be... the number twenty-five (25)! Everyone gets really shocked about that since that is a really big number. However, Counting Comet successfully makes it there with courage, and even more support from Umi-Friend. The team then gets so proud that Counting Comet finally gets to go home, and that he has reached a brand-new milestone on his trip to Earth.
Conclusion: Team Umizoomi Saves the Day![]
The rocket blasts off right after Counting Comet goes in through the window, and then he finally finds his family and goes home very happy to see them again. Another job well done! The Crazy Shake song then plays before the team signs off, ending the episode.
