Favorite Things Show is the 18th episode of the first season of Team Umizoomi, and the 18th episode overall.
Episode Description[]
Milli is visiting her friend Emily's class for Favorite Things Day! That's the day everyone brings in their favorite things to show the whole class. [1]
Summary[]
While visiting her friends at school, Milli discovers that her friend Emily lost her Sparkle Seashells to show at the Favorite Things Show for show-and-tell, so she calls Geo and Bot to look for Emily's seashells, and retrace her steps to find all 3 shells.
Synopsis[]
Intro: Personalized Patterns![]
The episode begins with Milli in a classroom at a school to visit her friend Emily, because today, her class is having a "Favorite Things Show," a special edition of a typical show-and-tell, except with the kids' most favorite things! She looks around the classroom with Umi-Friend for Emily, who is wearing a blue-and-white-striped dress. Emily is then seen with Anna and another boy sitting together at a table. So Milli heads over to that table, and gets there by bouncing on the bean bags, and walking on blocks like a balance beam. She also uses her ponytails to reach the top of the table to say hello to Emily. She and all the other kids are excited for show-and-tell, and Anna wonders what Milli's favorite thing is. Without a doubt, she says that it's her dress, because it gives her special Pattern Power. She makes a blue-and-white stripe pattern to match with Emily's dress, then when she hears the boy's favorite thing is his dump truck, she makes a pattern of those on her dress as well. Anna's favorite thing is fireflies, so she even makes a pattern of those. Everyone loved them! Nothing like a fun pattern to brighten up a joyful kid's life!
Treasure Chest Trouble[]
When Emily tells Milli that her favorite thing is her "sparkle shells," which are sparkling seashells she found at a place called Sparkle Beach, she pulls out her little treasure chest where she stores them so they can be shown to the kids, but shockingly, instead of sparkle shells, there was a big hole on the bottom of the chest, meaning those shells have fallen out on her way to school! Consequently, Emily's favorite things to show are now lost! As a result, Milli immediately initiates with Geo and Bot a video call on the Umi-Phone to tell them the news, which shocks them. They are seen waiting outside, and Milli tells them to meet her in front of the school, as the team will need to go on a mission to find Emily's three (3) sparkle shells. Once they meet each other, Geo wonders what the sparkle shells look like. Luckily, Bot has a picture of them on his Belly Screen. Geo is amazed by them, and really hopes to find them so Emily can present them to her class. The team then gets their duty up and running with the Mighty Math Powers song.
To the Apartment Building![]
The team needs to find Emily's sparkle shells pronto, because it's almost time for show-and-tell. Bot states that they should first look around where she lives, at a big 10-story apartment building. Geo then uses his Umi-Phone to contact UmiCar to meet them and take them to Emily's apartment building. When they arrived there, Bot calls Emily and asks where she went on her way to school so the team can check those places carefully to find the sparkle shells. Emily said that she and her dad went from her apartment to the laundry room to drop off their laundry, and then they walked to school by going over the bridge on Frog Pond. The team understands everything and now they know where to look first. Then, they head to the elevator to get to her apartment and begin their quest.
Finding the Lucky Numbers[]
Team Umizoomi goes inside the elevator to get to the floor of Emily's apartment. They see ten (10) numbered buttons that take passengers to specific floors, and Geo wonders which number they need to get to Emily's floor. According to Bot's Robot Computer, her apartment is located on floor number nine (9). With a little help from Umi-Friend, he finds the button with a nine (9) on it, and pushes it with his Super Skates by saying "Umizoomi!" Then, they all see the elevator going up as they count the floors until they arrive at their destination, on the 9th floor. Once they leave the elevator, Bot tells them that Emily lives at apartment #4, and sees a directory on the wall of the hallway. He and Umi-Friend see that apartments 1-4 are on their right, and apartments 5-8 are on their left, meaning they need to turn right. They then count four (4) doors and find Emily's door, and see one of her sparkle shells near to it. Bot puts it in his Bot-O-Mat, and now the first part of their mission is completed!
Making the Clothes (and a Shell) Shine[]
The next place Emily went on her way to school was the laundry room, which was shared between all the residents of the building, and located on floor number six (6). So the team needs to take the elevator down to get there. Upon entrance into the elevator, Geo finds the button with a six (6) on it with support from Umi-Friend, and Bot uses his extend-o legs as well as his extend-o arms to hit the button. The team then counts down from nine (9) to six (6) and the elevator stops at the laundry room floor. The laundry room was found after the team left the elevator, and Bot loved the smell and sight of clothes cleaning. He then states that Emily left a sparkle shell in the blue medium-sized dryer. The shell is then seen bouncing around in the dryer with the other clothes that were inside it. To get it back, Bot uses his extend-o legs to reach into the dryer, and not only does he grab the second sparkle shell, but he also gets caught in a yellow sock with stripes, making nobody understand what he says. Milli and Geo remove the sock from Bot's face, and now they see that he got the second sparkle shell, which is then places into his Bot-O-Mat, completing the second part of the mission!
To Frog Pond![]
Before the team leaves the laundry room, they get a video call from Emily, who wants to know their progress. Milli tells her that they found two (2) of them, and are going to find the last one ASAP. Emily appreciates that, especially since her class is having show-and-tell soon. After the call ends, Team Umizoomi continues their search, and there is only one (1) more sparkle shell left to find. The only other place Emily went on her way to school was the bridge at Frog Pond, which took her straight to school. This means that the team now has to go back down to the ground floor, also known as floor number one (1), to get out of the apartment building and find the bridge Emily walked on. They head back to the elevator, and Bot tells Umi-Friend to find the button with a one (1) on it. Once they find the right button, Milli decides to press it using her extendable ponytails, as Geo and Bot cheer for her. The elevator then goes down to the bottom of the building, and then the team rushes over to Frog Pond from there. Once they get onto the bridge, they look in the pond to find out where Emily dropped her last sparkle shell, but all they saw was multicolored lilypads and a bullfrog riding on a motor-lilypad.
Musical Pattern Power[]
When the team asks the bullfrog if he saw a sparkling seashell nearby, he has no clue, but refers them to his brother bullfrog, because he works at a place called the "Frog Pond Lost and Found." Bot thinks that it sounds like the best place to look, but doesn't know how to get there, so he asks the bullfrog for directions. The bullfrog then tells the team that they have to simply follow the orange, yellow, green lilypad pattern, as it will take them right over there. Milli loves the sound of that, and thanks the bullfrog for his help. He appreciates that, and after he signs off and swams away, she immediately finds the color pattern for the lilypads. Bot also thinks that singing the pattern can help the team remember it as they make their way there. Their journey then begins as the team hops onto each lilypad one at a time in the given pattern, while singing it aloud. This helps them remember where to go, especially when they see two (2) splits in the lilypad path. After following the right pattern a few times, they soon arrive at their destination, at the Frog Pond Lost and Found! Now, they can find Emily's third and final sparkle shell.
The Search For the Last Shell[]
At the Frog Pond Lost and Found, the team meets the bullfrog's brother, and asks him if he has seen a sparkling seashell nearby, since Emily dropped it somewhere on her way to school. The bullfrog's brother gives the team a closer look at a bunch of wooden shelves with lost objects, and Umi-Friend helps them search for the last sparkle shell. Eventually, the shell is found between three (3) gold coins and a pink key. The bullfrog's brother hands the shell over to Bot, and then it is placed in his Bot-o-Mat. Now, the team found all three (3) sparkle shells, and can bring them over to Emily at her school. But they have to hurry, because the Favorite Things Show is going to be starting real soon!
Sparkle Shell Drop-Off[]
The bullfrog comes over to the Frog Pond Lost and Found, and gives the team a ride on his motor-lilypad to the schoolhouse where Emily is. When they arrived at her school, they hear that it is her turn to present, and she is still feeling nervous. However, Team Umizoomi is seen waiting by her treasure chest, and Milli quietly informs her that they found all her shells. She checks inside, and gets relieved and excited when she sees her shells are safe inside the chest. Milli then wishes Emily luck in her presentation, and praises Umi-Friend for their support and cooperation in getting all those shells back. Then, they go inside the classroom through the window to watch Emily present.
The Final Presentation[]
Emily steps right up to present her sparkle shells, which she shows to the kids and describes in detail. When the kids saw the shells, they were amazed by all the sparkles! The team is also seen watching from the top of a table, and are glad that they made Emily so happy by finding her seashells. The kids are then seen applauding for Emily, which proves that her presentation went very well! As for all the hard work Team Umizoomi did to brighten another day, they celebrate with the UmiShake and Crazy Shake before signing off.
