Improvements needed: no reason given

There are many holidays that are celebrated in the Team Umizoomi show. Some of them are holidays celebrated in real life, like Christmas, while others are made for the show, like Just Because I Love You Day.

Just Because I Love You Day[]

Just Because I Love You Day is a fictional holiday celebrated in the episode Special Delivery. It is similar to the real life holiday Valentines Day. It is celebrated by doing nice things for people you care about. Milli and Geo celebrate by making a green hat with a heart on it for Bot, Bot gives Milli, Geo, and You a pinwheel, and Anthony mails a heart-shaped package full of heart-shaped cookies to his grandma.

While Valentine's Day is mainly about showing love to romantic partners, Just Because I Love You Day is about showing love to people you care about in general. However, both seem to be celebrated by giving sweets and handmade gifts.

Christmas[]

Christmas is a holiday in the episode Santa's Little Fixers. Just like its real life counterpart, It is celebrated by spending time with family and giving each other presents.

Every year, families who celebrate usually decorate a Christmas tree for the gifts to go under, and sometimes stockings above the fireplace as well. And on the night of December 24th (known as Christmas Eve), Santa Claus with his 8 reindeer and a giant sack of toys on his sleigh, flies around the entire world and gives all the children presents. On Christmas morning, the kids open the presents with the family.

In this iteration of Christmas, there are multiple differences to other depictions of the holiday.

  • Santa delivers gifts by dropping them in the chimney rather than going into the chimney.
  • The elves' jobs are to put the gifts in Santa's sack. Their usual jobs are creating the toys, but there is a toy making machine instead to do that for them instead.
  • There is also no mention of the religion that the holiday is based off of, as most holiday episodes of TV shows mainly focus on either Santa or family and gift giving (or both).

Halloween[]

Halloween is a holiday from the episode The Ghost Family Costume Party. It is the same as the real life holiday where on the night of October 1st, children dress up in costumes and go from house to house for candy, which is known as Trick-or-Treating.

Little Ghost celebrates by going to a costume party hosted by his family called the Ghost Family Costume Party, where they all wear costumes and party together.

Team Umizoomi celebrates by handing out candy earlier in the night, and going with Little Ghost to the Ghost Family Costume Party. They each wear a costume at the party. Geo's costume is a pirate, Milli's costume is a bee, and Bot's costume is a mummy.

Umi Egg Hunt[]

The Umi Egg Hunt is a holiday celebrated from the episode of the same name. It is equivalent to the real life holiday, Easter. It is celebrated by finding eggs hidden in the park,

Unlike the real holiday, this doesn't feature any Easter Bunny, instead the eggs are made in a factory located near Rabbit Town. Like Christmas, this holiday also lacks any religious imagery.
