Math Dragons is an in-universe game that Team Umizoomi played in the episode Let's Play Math Dragons!. The goal of the game is to collect 3 dragon eggs.

Description[]

The game has 3 main levels, as well as platforming sections in between connecting the levels.

Levels[]

The first level has the Purple Egg on top of a mountain. The player ride the Big Dragon up the mountain, making him stomp and smash falling rocks in a pattern.

The second level has the Green Egg up in a cloud. The player has ride the Flying Dragons up towards the cloud.

The third level has the Yellow Egg at the end of an underwater maze. The player has to feed the Chomping Dragons crackers in their favorite shape.

Interstitial Sections[]

Before the first level and between each level, there are platforming sections. Each have dangerous obstacles, as well as the threat of The Stinky Dragon chasing behind. To progress, the player must count upwards as they jump from each platform. There are multiple paths, but only one correct path. The incorrect paths have the wrong next number, while the right path has the right next number.

The first section is a temple-like passageway with plenty of plants growing inside. The second section is a castle. The third section is a spooky cave.

Characters[]

The Announcer[]

The Announcer is a disembodied voice that helps guide the player through each level. They provide instructions on how to get the dragon eggs. They are voiced by Graham Rowat. [1] [2]

The Stinky Dragon[]

He is the primary antagonist of the game, appearing during the interstitial platforming sections. He gets his name from his terrible stench. He chases the player through the platforming sections until he is unable to.

The Big Dragon[]

The Flying Dragons[]

The Chomping Dragons[]

The Baby Math Dragons[]

These are the baby dragons that hatch out of the eggs at the end of the game, after all 3 eggs are found.

Trivia[]

  • Due to the last level of the game only being beatable by having the right shaped crackers, only Team Umizoomi seem to be able to beat the game due to Geo's Super Shape power and the game not providing any crackers.
    • Otherwise, the player would either need to have the ability to create specific shaped crackers or bring them from real life into the game.
  • The dragons on the title screen do not appear in the actual game.

Allusions[]

  • The game is inspired by platformer games, specifically Super Mario Bros. for the NES.
