Meatball Madness is the 8th episode of the fourth season of Team Umizoomi, and the 66th episode overall.
Episode Description[]
When The TroubleMakers take away the stop button from Chef Mario's Meatball Machine, the city fills up with millions of meatballs! It's up to Milli, Geo and Bot to get that stop button back and save Umi City from meatball madness! [1]
Summary[]
Team Umizoomi must help Chef Mario get his stop button back after the Troublemakers take it away and cause all the meatballs to come out of the machine nonstop and become a disaster.
Synopsis[]
Intro: Mario's Spaghetti Restaurant[]
Team Umizoomi is going out for lunch at a new restaurant in Umi City, which is an Italian-themed spaghetti restaurant. Milli and Bot say that they love spaghetti, and Bot asks the viewer if they like spaghetti as well. Assuming they said yes, the trio proceeds to go inside and meet Chef Mario, the head spaghetti chef. Some of the customers keep asking for more meatballs, which are really delicious. The team wonders how Chef Mario can keep up with all the meatballs, so he shows them into the kitchen, which has what keeps making the meatballs; a meatball machine. The machine makes enough delicious meatballs for all the customers, and after he has enough, he presses the stop button, which is shaped like a red octagon (like a stop sign), to stop the machine. He then shows the team how he cooks his spaghetti, but they are all unaware that two (2) nasty, yet familiar, TroubleMakers are eavesdropping...
Meatball Madness[]
The TroubleMakers see the restaurant kitchen from out the window and think it would make a great place to cause trouble! They then sing their theme song, and see that the meatball machine is always busy making meatballs. When they also see that it has a stop button, Little Trouble uses the Trouble-Ray to take off the stop button and levitate it away, which causes the meatball machine to go out of control and overflow with meatballs. Soon, this turns into nothing but a disaster when it ends up spreading in Umi City as well. Even Chef Mario gets extremely worried that the city is filling up with meatballs. Team Umizoomi really needs to get the stop button back so they can turn the meatball machine off, so they step in immediately and perform the "Time For Action" drill.
Stop Button Search[]
As the team begins their search for the stop button, Bot sees meatballs in the public swimming pool, Milli sees some on the streets, and Geo sees even more meatballs in the playground. Bot admits that this is quite a disaster, and is hoping to find the stop button. Geo uses his Umi-Goggles to find out where it landed. He looks by the bank, and by the post office, but doesn't see it. However, he does see it at the top of a big green tower called Umi Tower, which, according to Milli, is the tallest building in the entire city. Now that the team knows where their destination is going to be, their mission continues.
Meatball Bowling[]
When Milli sees a shortcut to Umi Tower, the team follows, but the TroubleMakers also notice that the team is coming that way. To stop them from moving forward, Big Trouble uses his Trouble-Ray to turn multicolored plastic bottles on the ground into giant plastic bottles as a means of blocking the path. Team Umizoomi can't get past them because when they pushed them over, they did not budge. Geo thought that if he had a bowling ball, the team could bowl the bottles over. Since there are plenty of meatballs, Milli wonders if there is one that it big enough to actually knock down the bottles. Bot finds out using his Robot Computer that a meatball whose diameter is eight (8) units long will do the trick. Milli uses her ponytail to measure one of the meatballs. She shows that the diameter of the first meatball is three (3), meaning that it cannot knock down the bottles. Then, Geo finds another meatball, and Milli finds out that its diameter is five (5), so that one will not work either. When Bot finds an even bigger meatball, Milli measures it and sees that its diameter is eight (8), meaning it is big enough to knock down the bottles! With a little help from Umi-Friend, she rolls the meatball straight towards the bottles, and they get knocked down, opening the path again for Team Umizoomi! Now, they just have to continue making their way to the stop button on Umi Tower.
On the Web[]
The Troublemakers see that Team Umizoomi is still trying to get the stop button. Little Trouble uses his Trouble-Ray to tip a manhole cover. Because of this, Team Umizoomi fell down the manhole that was covered in spider webs. Now they're trapped underground. Luckily, they find their friend, Webster the spider. He tells them that they can use the spider webs to climb back up to the street. Geo thinks that is a great idea, so he uses his Shape Magnet to reach the webs, one at a time. Since the lucky shape this time is a triangle, he sticks his magnet to the triangles on the webs, and they climb up with Webster all the way up to the top and get back onto the street. Now, the team can continue their duty! After thanking Webster for his help, they continue heading to Umi Tower. Webster also thinks it was pretty fun to use the Shape Magnet, and he jumps back into manhole and closes its cover to stop anyone else from falling in there.
Mr. Ape's Climb[]
Team Umizoomi spots the red stop button on top of a tall building. Geo uses his Shape Splitter to build an ape named Mr. Ape to help them climb the tall building. However, as Mr. Ape begins his climb, the team catches sight of the TroubleMakers, whom have stored the meatballs in a plane and they're piloting, and they drop some of those meatballs to knock Mr. Ape off, making him and Team Umizoomi fall down. They dodge the meatballs, but Milli gets concerned about how they will get past them. Mr. Ape then gets an idea - he uses his fists to punch the meatballs away as they are being dropped on them. The team counted the meatballs that Mr. Ape smashed away, with the count being three (3) meatballs the first time, five (5) meatballs the second time, and seven (7) meatballs the third time. After the Troublemakers have failed to stop Team Umizoomi from getting the red stop button, they argue that they should have loaded more meatballs, when their plane crashes into a giant pile of meatballs on the top of another building, with Big Trouble tasting the meatballs, so much to Little Trouble's disgust.
Conclusion: Mr. Ape's Appetite[]
Well, it looks like the TroubleMakers won't be causing any more meatball trouble. Mr. Ape and the team rush back to the restaurant, and Chef Mario gets relieved that the red stop button has been found. Then, Bot puts the stop button back on the meatball machine and immediately presses it to turn the meatball machine off. The chef thanks the team for all their help, but Milli tells him that Umi City is still filled with meatballs. After Team Umizoomi tries to find a way to clean up the meatballs, Mr. Ape steps in and eats all the meatballs in Umi City. After the whole city was cleaned, Mr. Ape, feeling very full, takes a relaxer on the bottom of a blue slide on the playground. The team then celebrates with the Crazy Shake before they sign off, ending the episode.
