Summary[]
Milli, Geo, and Bot are enjoying a snow day in Umi City when their friend Andy calls from the airport. Andy is going to the beach with his family, but his plane can't take off because it's not ready. So, the team needs to get to the airport to help get the plane ready for takeoff!
Synopsis[]
Intro: An Umi City Snow Day[]
The episode starts when the team greets the viewers and is glad they came to visit them. They were playing around in the snow, and stated that they love it. Milli then asks the viewer if they like snow as well. Then, she and Geo Geo play a game with Umi-Friend in the snow about guessing what is being drawn (also known as Pictionary). They both gave three (3) hints: short skinny legs, an antenna on his head, and a belly-belly-belly screen! It turns out that the drawing was Bot! Bot then popped in complementing on how great the drawing was, and they all enjoyed a good laugh!
Andy's Flight Delay Dilemma[]
The Umi Alarm starts ringing, and Bot answers it to find out who's calling. It's their friend Andy, who is at the Umi City International Airport. He and his family are on a plane that's stuck on the runway and can't take off because it's not ready. They're supposed to head to the beach, and Andy is really hoping to get going soon. He's counting on Team Umizoomi to help fix everything and get the plane ready to fly. The team accepts the mission, and Andy thanks them before hanging up. Milli points out that if they don't get the plane ready soon, Andy's flight will get cancelled! They depend on their Umi-Friend for help, and assuming they also agreed to help out, their mission then begins as the team gets their powers up and going with the Mighty Math Powers song.
Umi City Airport[]
After the song is over, the team is ready to go and Geo uses the Umi-Phone to call UmiCar up to drive them to the airport. Once they get there, they call Andy to know which plane he is on at the moment. He states that his plane is a Star Airlines plane which is currently at the twelfth gate. The team has to figure out where to look for the hallway and gate with the right information to get to the plane. They look for a hallway with stars on it, and see that they are at the fifth gate. So they count from five (5) to twelve (12) to find Andy's plane. Once they get there, they learn how the plane gets ready to go with a little help from Bot and the "How Does It Work" song. He explains that the plane needs to have a full tank of gasoline, and then the suitcases need to be loaded up. After which, the runway needs to be clear with green lights to indicate that the plane is safe to start moving. The team understands the procedures, and finds out that they've got a lot of work to do, so they immediately go through the door and to the plane to get the job started.
Fuel Me Up, Regular![]
The first thing that should be done is the gasoline fill-up, so Bot has to fill the gas in the plane tank fully so the plane can operate successfully. They head over to the gas tank and wait for a gas truck to arrive. Then, as the team starts filling up the plane's tank, Milli wonders when it will have enough fuel. So, by using the Umi-Goggles and depending on Umi-Friend, she helps Bot determine whether the tank is full or not. The tank is full when the gas goes all the way up to a green fill line. After a few seconds, the gas eventually does reach the fill line, completing the first step of the process. Next on the to-do list is loading the suitcases in the plane so the people can carry their luggage while flying.
Luggage Lockout[]
The team looks for the place where the suitcases go, and they see someone on a yellow cart carrying a few suitcases onto a conveyor belt that goes into the plane. Apparently, one of the suitcases is aligned the wrong way, and therefore does not fit inside the plane. To fix that, Geo uses his Super Shape Power and puzzle skills to find out how the luggage can fit into the empty spaces. He sees a rectangle-shaped suitcase that doesn't fit, so he looks closely to see if the empty space is the same size and shape as the last suitcase, which it is. It was just that he needed to turn the suitcase 90 degrees to make it fit into the empty space. With a little help from Umi-Friend, he tries that and it works! Now, the first few suitcases have been loaded into the plane, but just then, some more suitcases enter the plane. Geo sees a triangle-shaped suitcase that doesn't fit, so just like last time, he checks to see if the empty space is the same size and shape, and it luckily is. In that case, Geo just has to rotate the suitcase in a way that it goes into the space. He rotates it 90 degrees clockwise, which doesn't work. He tries again, this time rotating it another 90 degrees clockwise, but that doesn't work either. He rotates the suitcase 90 more degrees clockwise, and now it fits, meaning all the suitcases are now loaded in! This completes the second part of the team's duty!
Meeting With Andy[]
Bot checks his belly screen to know the team's progress so far, and finds out that they are almost done! All they need to do is clear the runway, and then the plane can move. Team Umizoomi then decides to meet with Andy at his seat inside the plane to update him on the standings. To get there, they go through the suitcase area and then take a ride on the snack cart, which starts moving as one of the flight attendants is ready to serve snacks to the passengers. She explains that on the menu for snacks today are pretzels and juice boxes. Milli recites the snacks as they are being handed out, and realizes that it's a pattern! She and Bot love snack patterns so much, the team starts singing about them. Once that song was over, Team Umizoomi looks for Andy and gives him one of each snack, To find Andy inside the plane, he wears an orange shirt. also as a means of ensuring him that the plane should be ready to take off soon. Just then, the captain announces over the PA intercom system that there is a giant pile of snow on the runway, and the plane shall not move until that snow gets off. This reminds the team that they should get back to work, and so they exit the plane, hoping Andy enjoys his snack.
Shoo, Shoo, Snow! Blow Away![]
Team Umizoomi makes it to the front of the plane where there is a bunch of snow blocking the runway. They need to blow it all off before the plane's engine can be turned on. To help with that, Geo steps in again and builds a snow-blower with his Super Shapes. Once he does that, he uses the machine to blow away the snow by saying "Umizoomi!" Now, all the snow has been cleared from the runway, completing that step of the job! But, when Milli asks Bot if the plane is ready for takeoff, the answer continues to be a no. The reason behind that is because the lights on the runway are still red, meaning the plane must stop. In order for the plane to go, those lights have to be green. They are exactly like traffic lights, except they are for the plane and are on the ground.
Runway Miracle[]
When the team understands that the runway lights now have to turn green, Milli decides to use her Pattern Power to make the lights green. With a little help from Umi-Friend, she puts the green light pattern on the runway, and now the plane is ready for takeoff, meaning Andy is ready to go to the beach! Just as they finish, Andy calls the team to ask if the plane can go, and Milli is excited to tell him that they're all set! Andy is so happy that Team Umizoomi saved the day. The captain then announces that the runway lights have turned green and the plane is ready to move, reminding everyone to buckle up. Andy thanks the team again, and they all wish him a great trip to the beach. Bot tells him, "Bon voyage!" (which means "Have a good trip!" in French) before they hang up. The plane then successfully takes off, and Andy waves to the viewers from his window. For all their hard work getting Andy's vacation off to an Umi-riffic start, Team Umizoomi celebrates with the UmiShake and Crazy Shake before signing off, ending the episode.
