Episode Description[]
Anthony realizes he forgot to put stamps on a package he sent to his Grandma. Team Umizoomi zooms behind the scenes of the post office, and into the mail system to catch up to the errant package. [1]
Summary[]
Anthony's worried about his package that he sent to his grandma for Just Because I Love You Day. He didn't put any stamps on it. Team Umizoomi has to put stamps on the package and deliver it. But can they do it before it falls into the... "Do Not Deliver Basket"?!
Synopsis[]
Intro: A Surprise for Bot[]
The show begins with the team at home in the Fountain Headquarters, making gifts for each other, because today in Umi City, it's "Just Because I Love You" Day. Therefore, Milli is glad Umi-Friend came over to hang out. Geo paints a green cone-shaped party hat for Bot's surprise, especially because he loves hats, and the color green. Bot returns the favor by giving Geo, Milli, and Umi-Friend pinwheels for appreciation.
Anthony's Dilemma[]
At one point in time, the UmiAlarm rings, and the team has received a call from their friend Anthony. He simply has one little problem with his grandma's package. He wanted to give her something for "Just Because I Love You" Day, but failed to put stamps on it before mailing it. He then realized that stamps were required for the package to be sent out. Team Umizoomi tries to take action by putting stamps on the package in the post office while it's there. The adventure then begins as the team prepares their Mighty Math Powers with the Mighty Math Powers song.
Love to Go to the Post Office[]
The team takes the UmiCar to the post office, and then they get to know how it works through the "How Does It Work" song. Bot tells them that after the mail is sent, it goes inside a basket, then proceeds to the stamp checker before it loads to the delivery truck. However, if any mailpiece has the wrong number of stamps on it, the machine will disqualify it, dropping it straight into the "Do Not Deliver" basket (ouch!). Based on that information, the team knows that Anthony's package will be disqualified unless they find it and put stamps on it. To do that, they use their bouncy shoes to reach the mail slot where the mail goes in. Once they get inside, they use their Umi-Goggles to find Anthony's package, which is shaped like a red heart.
Stamp On It![]
After the team finds the red-heart package, they rush to it while bouncing around in a pile of mail, and then once they get the package, they are led to the stamp checker. Bot gets some stamps from his Bot-o-Mat and puts three (3) of them on the package, hoping that's enough. At the stamp checker, the team realizes that the package needs six (6) stamps to be delivered to the requested location. With a little help from Umi-Friend, the team puts on three (3) more stamps as the package gets scanned. In the nick of time, that step of the process is completed! Then, the team takes a bouncy ride on the package as it goes down the conveyor belt to the mail trucks.
To the Right Address[]
When the team riding the package makes it to the garage where the mail trucks are, Milli tells Geo that each truck has a ZIP (Zone Improvement Plan) Code on it, which should also be labeled on every piece of mail, so it can go into the correct mail truck. They take a look at the ZIP Code on Anthony's package, which is 94110. After which, they look for the mail truck with the matching numbers, so the package can go to the right neighborhood. Once the team finds the right mail truck, it starts its engine and gets ready to leave. They take the package in the truck just in time before the mailman drives the truck, completing the next step of the process!
To Grandmother's House They Go![]
The team now has to find a mailbag with the correct shape that corresponds to a street name, so the package can go to the right street. Since the package is being delivered to a place on Crescent Street, Team Umizoomi drops the package in the bag with a crescent on it. On the way to grandma's house, Anthony calls the team to check on them, and Geo tells him that the package is on its way. Once they get to Crescent Street, the team gets excited that they are almost at grandma's house, and sings, "We're On Our Way." Then, the mailman delivers the package, and the team rings the third buzzer on the doorbell, which corresponds the apartment/flat of Anthony's grandma. That way, she can be informed that she has mail.
Anthony, You're So Sweet![]
When Anthony's grandma gets notified by Team Umizoomi that her mail has arrived, she responds and checks outside her doorstep. Then, she gets her package, and finds out that Anthony gave her heart-shaped cookies for "Just Because I Love You" Day. Those were her favorite treats, and even the team could tell that Anthony really thought of her for this special day. In addition, he called Team Umizoomi showing how thankful he is now that he knows that his grandma received the package. He is also proud to show how caring they both can be. As a result, Team Umizoomi celebrates with the UmiShake and Crazy Shake. Then, before they sign off, they also wish Umi-Friend a happy "Just Because I Love You" Day.
