The Aquarium Fix-It is the 2nd episode of the first season of Team Umizoomi, and the 2nd episode overall.
Episode Description[]
Michael is at the Umi City Aquarium and there's a big problem! There's a crack in the seahorse tank and the seahorses are in danger! Team Umizoomi rushes over to the aquarium to help save the seahorses. [1]
Summary[]
The Seahorse tank has a huge crack and all the water is leaking out. If this continues, the six (6) sea horses who live in the tank will have no place to live. The team has to get into the aquarium and fix up the leaky crack in the tank, before the kids come to see.
Synopsis[]
Intro[]
The episode begins with Geo in his bedroom at the Fountain Headquarters. He introduces Umi-Friend to his pet seahorse. He is bright orange with a really long nose. Once Geo finds his seahorse, he feeds him while Milli and Bot comment on how well he can take care of a seahorse. Geo and his seahorse then cheer, "Seahorse power!" since Geo loves seahorses a lot.
Severe Seahorse Problem[]
The UmiAlarm starts to ring, and Bot answers the call immediately. The team's friend Michael needs their help - he is at the Umi City Aquarium to see the seahorses, but cannot see them since the seahorse tank has a big crack in it. Because of that, the water in that tank is leaking out. Geo is really worried for those seahorses, so he and the rest of the team step up and take action. Michael looks forward to getting the situation fixed, and before hanging up, he and Geo cheer, "Seahorse power!" The adventure then begins as the team gets their Mighty Math Powers ready with the Mighty Math Powers song.
To the Aquarium![]
Team Umizoomi takes the UmiCar to the aquarium, and they get off at the dock. Bot then tells them that there is a pipe underwater that can take them straight into the seahorse tank in the aquarium. To get there, Geo uses his Super Shapes to build a submarine. With a little help from Umi-Friend, Geo builds it with a triangle, a rectangle, and an oval. Then, the team zooms underwater to the pipe by saying "Umizoomi!" On the way there, they discover and sing about sea creatures of all kinds of shapes.
Finding the Seahorse Tank[]
After going through the pipe underwater, the team sees that it takes the seawater to all the different tanks in the aquarium. They follow the pipe to those tanks, and try to look for the right one. The first tank has a lot of fish, as well as an electric eel (shocking!), but no seahorses. The second tank has a pufferfish, an octopus, and some jellyfish, but still no seahorses. When they get to the third tank, they find the seahorses, and go into it by putting their scuba gear on.
Seahorse Meeting[]
The team finds three (3) red seahorses in the tank. Geo asks them where the leak is, and the smallest seahorse, Little Red, leads them to the leak. Before the team can begin fixing the leak, Little Red says that there are three (3) other seahorses in the tank. So, Geo goes to look for the other seahorses, and finds a seahorse inside a clam, another in some coral, and another camouflaged in some yellow coral. After which, the team counts the seahorses, and are glad to know that they found them all! Now, the seahorses just have to know where to stay in the interim while the crack in the tank gets fixed.
The Evacuation Plan[]
Milli uses her ponytails as thermometers to measure the temperatures of the water in two (2) other tanks to find out which one the seahorses can stay in. She then realizes that the closer one has the right temperature. The tank chosen already has an angelfish in it, and she asks the angelfish if she'll let the seahorses stay in her tank for a little while, and she approves. Bot finds coral shaped like steps near the top of the seahorse tank, and shows that the seahorses can jump on those steps to get out of their tank, and then jump into the angelfish tank from there. The seahorses are a little afraid to jump, so Geo decides to lead the way by taking a ride on Little Red. With a little help from Umi-Friend, Geo cheers on for the seahorses so they can jump on the steps, as he joins in on the bouncy ride. His plan then works as the seahorses have all made it into the angelfish tank safely, completing the evacuation process!
Fixing the Tank[]
The crack in the seahorse tank starts getting bigger, so the team had to fix it as soon as possible. Bot took out a roll of waterproof tape from his Bot-o-Mat to put on the crack, and to figure out how long a piece was needed, Milli used her ponytails again, this time as rulers. She measured the crack, which happened to currently be five (5) units long. Then, Bot pulls a piece of tape of that same length so that he can fix the crack. Once the tape was put on the crack, the tank was fixed, and the water was no longer leaking out. Now, all they had to do was refill the tank with water, using the water jet. With support from Umi-Friend, the team added water only until it reached the fill line.
Back Home They Go[]
Michael calls Bot to find out how the team is doing, and Geo tells him that the crack is now fixed, and the tank is refilled. The seahorses are then told by the team that it is now safe for them to return home. Now that the seahorses know how to jump, it was easier for them to get back home. The six (6) seahorses did jumping flips back to their tank, one at a time, while Geo and Umi-Friend counted them off. Then, the team's work was done! And just in time, because Michael and the kids were walking towards the seahorses. Michael was amazed to see Team Umizoomi and the seahorses in their tank. Then, Geo and the seahorses show him some super seahorse power, making him even happier. Even the seahorses were happy to be back home. As a result, the team celebrates with the UmiShake and Crazy Shake before they sign off, ending the episode.
