Synopsis
Introduction: A Fly Ball
One day, Team Umizoomi is seen playing a three-way game of catch in the park. However, Bot's "Super-Duper-Robo-Throw" ends up making the ball go high up in the air. The team finds the ball near an old stone wall covered in ivory. Within the ivory, they find a small door with a picture of a fairy on it. Milli thinks that the door leads to a magical place where fairies live. Bot opens the door and it leads to somewhere magical, the gorgeous Sunshine Forest.
Sunny, The Sunshine Fairy
The team is in astonishment of this magical forest. Nearby, they find a yellow fairy, twinkling brightly. They introduce themselves to her and find out her name is Sunny, the Sunshine Fairy. She has the light and power of the Sun. This power gives her the ability to fly, glow, and give life to all of the plant in the forests, and she sang a song about herself, and the woodland animals come join in as the chorus. The team really admires her powers, but they're not the only ones...
Stolen Sunshine!
In the treetops nearby, a purple gnome looks down at Sunny. The gnome was very jealous of Sunny's Sunshine Power. As Sunny said goodbye to her team and approached the branch he was sitting on, Grog pulled out a jar and used it to steal her power. Because of this, Sunny lost her power and her ability to fly! The team saw Grog getting away with the jar, which now contained Sunny's stolen power. Sunny pointed out that Grog lives in the Deep, Dark Swamp, and she couldn't let him get away with her power. The team immediately decided to help her get it back. Then, they step into action and start their journey with the "Time For Action" song.
Not the Bridge They Think It Is
Sunny alerts Team Umizoomi that they need to be careful because Sunshine Forest is full of surprises, and most of them are not-so-good. Bot doesn't take her word and falls off a strange bridge, which isn't really a bridge; it was really the back of a sea monster, who's truly cranky. The sea monster won't let them pass until they find a way to make him happy. Nearby is a tree filled with berries. Sunny explains that some of those berries make him happy, and if he eats three (3) of those happy berries, they will be awarded access to the other flank of the water. Geo finds a chart on the tree. The chart has two (2) columns, one for what berries make the sea monster happy and one for those that make him grumpy. Sunny has her friends, the Berry Monkeys, climb up the tree and shake it until berries fall down, so Geo can catch them. Geo catches a red berry, but it's in the column of berries that make the sea monster grumpy, so he tosses the berry away. The next berry he catches is a green berry, which makes the sea monster happy. Using Bot's Robo-Launcher, they launch the berry into his mouth. He soon became happier. Using the chart and with help from the Berry Monkeys and Umi-Friend, they feed him two (2) more happy berries, pink with a yellow stripe and orange with a purple dot. The sea monster soon got happy enough to use his back to help the team and Sunny get over the water. Now, the first part of their journey is complete!
The Path Splits!
Sunny and the team spot Grog nearby, with the jar of Sunshine Power still in his hands, and he runs away with it. They chase him, but unfortunately, he's no slow gnome. They then find a fork on the path, and don't know which of the two (2) paths Grog took. Luckily, two (2) kind and polite owls saw where he went. They said that he went down the path with blue flowers and pink mushrooms. The team and Sunny figure out the path, and they continue their chase with Grog. The owls watch them and compliment on how the team figured it out as they sip cups of tea.
Bot the Giant
Grog really doesn't want to give the Sunshine Power back so easily. He goes through a giant door on a stone wall, and then it closes, getting his hopes of keeping the Sunshine Power even higher up. Sunny and the team try to push the door open, but it doesn't budge. Sunny points out that there's some pancake vines growing on the stone wall, and one (1) of the pancakes is magic. Sunny tells Bot that the magic pancake is on the purple vine, and Bot finds out that the magic pancake has five (5) blueberries on it. Bot finds that pancake, pours maple syrup on it, and eats it. The magic from the pancake makes him grow to the size of a giant. He gives the other three (3) little ones (literally) a ride on his head as he opens the giant door without breaking a sweat (circuit in his case!). Once Milli, Geo, and Sunny went back down to the ground, the magic wears off, and Bot shrinks back to his normal size. Bot really appreciated being a giant for a while, and that completes the next part of their journey!
Flower Fire Traps!
Grog still isn't giving up so easily. He discovers a row of sleeping Dragon Flowers and abruptly wakes them by ringing a bell. This is his way of stopping the team from getting the Sunshine Power back. Bot chases Grog but gets booby-trapped by purple fire on the path. The team discovers that these flowers are called Dragon Flowers because they breathe "flower fire!" To get past the obstacle, Milli steps in with her Pattern Power. She changes the pattern on her dress to a water drop pattern: big drops for the big flowers' fire and little drops for the little flowers' fire. The flower pattern is big, big, little. Milli extinguishes the firebreath from each of the Dragon Flowers, clears the path. The last part of the pursuit is the Deep, Dark Swamp, Grog's home.
The Final Battle: Teamwork vs. The Sinking Sludge
When the team uses a log to cross the mud in the swamp, the log starts to sink in the mud. Sunny realizes that the mud isn't really mud; it's the sinking sludge! This made the team need to run for their lives across the log and onto the land. They manage to make it, but the log is not so lucky as it sinks into the mud entirely. If something falls in the sinking sludge, it sinks to the bottom and its sight is officially over... for good! They have to be careful and not step in the sinking sludge at any time from there on forward. Now they just have to find Grog. Bot spots him going up to his treehouse. Sunny sneaks up on him and tries to grab the jar of sunshine from him, but Grog doesn't give up so easily. The Tug-of-War soon causes the Sunshine Jar to fall into the sinking sludge. Now the Sunshine Magic is sinking into the sinking sludge. Geo sees that it's not too late to save the magic and grabs a vine which he uses to lasso the jar. He then gets Milli, Bot, and Sunny to help him pull, but the sludge is so strong. When Bot checks his robot computer, it tells the team that they need a total of ten (10) people (or animals) to pull out the jar, but as of that moment, there were only four (4) of them. Luckily, the two (2) owls from before fly in to help out. Now there's six (6) of them pulling, but they still need more. The three (3) Berry Monkeys show up to help out. Now there's nine (9) of them, but they just need one (1) more person to help. Grog decides to help out since he realizes the mistake was his fault. Everyone pulls as hard as they can, then the jar is successfully pulled out of the sinking sludge, and it lands... in Sunny's arms! The team's mission is now completed!
Conclusion: Happiness Makes Sunshine
Sunny's Sunshine Powers burst forth when she opens the jar! Everyone is so happy for her. Grog apologizes for taking Sunny's powers and admits he knew it was wrong but wanted to fill the gloomy Deep, Dark Swamp with sunlight, and he starts to cry.
Sunny gently explains that he should've simply asked her for help, and she would have gladly used her powers to brighten the swamp. She then makes plants flourish around the swamp and purifies the sinking sludge into crystal-clear water, transforming the Deep, Dark Swamp into part of the beautiful Sunshine Forest.
Grog happily heads home to his treehouse. Sunny thanks Team Umizoomi for helping her get her Sunshine Powers back, and they are glad to help as always. Everyone then joins in on the Crazy Shake before the team signs off, ending the episode.
